This shoot covered breaking ground on the soon to be Jade Apartments. “Developed by APANO and Gorman & Company, the Jade will bring 40 new affordable housing units with 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms to the Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood, in the heart of the Jade District.”

I was there along with KGW8, “The apartment complex is set up to be well-suited for families, targeting the district’s prominent Asian and Pacific Islander population, the news release said. Nonprofit Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon (APANO) will offer residents services that include financial literacy and job training; food pantry and transportation access; and health programs, such as yoga and a community garden.”

It was a pleasure to photograph for this type of housing project.
